Why Psionics has Prerequisites

July 11, 2007

I don’t know if this has happened to you, but you might see something really awesome like a musician just playing their guitar and he/she sounds absolutely amazing!!! Like they motivate you to learn how to play the guitar and you start to get really excited. You begin to think oh ya I’ll just get a guitar and some books and teach myself. So you start to learn and you get kinda bored with the book because progress is slow and you really really wanna learn how to play your absolute all time favourite song, so you get tabs from the net and start learning how to play.

Well you practice and practice and you’ve finally gotten really good at playing this one particular song and you realize that’s all you really know so you start learning another song. You begin to get discouraged because damn, it’s taking me so long to learn how to play and I don’t like playing guitar that much, I WANT A LIFE!!!

Let me ask you one thing, have you really learned how to play the guitar? You may feel compelled to say yes because you’ve practiced and practiced that one song and you can play it and it sounds good. Yay great but have you really learned how to play? I would say no. You get angry and say “how could you say that blah blah blah.” I answer, “Well all you know how to do is play like two songs. You haven’t learned technique still so learning new songs is difficult. You haven’t learned music theory so you can make your own chords and you have learned scales so you can improvise.”

You stand silent not knowing what to say next and you realize that I was right, because you haven’t really learned how to play, you just know a few songs and that’s it. You really don’t set yourself up to progression because you haven’t even learned, let alone mastered, the basics!! How do you expect to get better?

It’s the same way with Psionics and most everything else. You get really excited one day because you just saw this wicked ass video of someone moving a penny with their mind. You begin to learn all you can and you slowly develop your mind skills and you move a penny. Yay great! Did you really learn Psionics? Are you really setting yourself up for learning other things like telepathy, empathy, Remote Viewing, Lucid dreaming? You say, “Well I don’t really care about those other things because I like telepathy.” I respond, “Why would you only want to learn how to play one song? You’ll get bored after a while and not feel motivated to learn any others.

Maybe you do eventually decide to learn something else, like empathy. You try and you try. You see progress, but it’s very slow and making you frustrated. You haven’t really developed patience so you’re beginning to give up and get discouraged. You haven’t really developed concentration and focus because you have ADD attacks when you’re trying to practice. You haven’t really developed discipline and you find it very easy to blow off practice periods.

How you are affects your psionic abilities and affects how far you progress. You NEED to learn how to do Psionics and not just learn telepathy. You may find that you like telepathy the most so you begin to concentrate on that mostly. It’s like learning how to play guitar and you find you really like playing Blues chords so you begin to become an expert in blues. It’s the same for Psionics.

Depending on what you of person you are, it is possible to be able to start with just one kind of skill and be able to pick up others easily and master them easier than others. You are what we like to call SPECIAL. Not everyone is like this. Most are not. So just assume you’re not special and you’ll put the work you need to in order to devote yourself to Psionics. If you find out you are special and you put in a lot of work in your studies, you’ll become a master in no time.

So just put the work into your practices, learning your prereqs and have fun!! Put your passion into it!!

First Lucid

July 11, 2007

So last night for the first time ever I was lucid dreaming. I always thought it was interesting and read about it in books and online. A few years back I think I spent a week trying, got no results so I quit. I think about a week or so ago I intended to be able to lucid dream and BAM last night I did it!

It didn’t last long let me tell you and I couldn’t will anything to happen and whatnot. It was a partial lucid dream. It’s kind of hard to explain. In my dream I said, wait a minute this is a dream! And then my conscious began to snap back. I wasn’t fully conscious but the more conscious I got the more I began to wake up. I think it only took a few moments for me to completely wake up.

I know it wasn’t a fluck or something weird was because I could feel myself waking from a deep sleep, not REM, but still deep. It wasn’t one of those instances where you’re half awake and half asleep. So I know it was a real lucid dream. It was weird, pretty interesting. I found it hard to think, lol, but like I said I was only partially conscious so it makes sense.

Welp, that was my first lucid dream. Anyone still working on it? Anyone lucid dreaming experts?! Lol. Share if you have some insight.

Visualization

August 15, 2006

“Meditation can renew both mind and body. By Pacifying stress that is based upon projection, true relaxation can be attained. What spring forth will be in accordance with your real needs.”
-I Ching no. 52

So you want to practice psi? Well in order to be successful you need VISUALIZATION. As said by Jerry Lynch, “Visualization is an active form of meditation in which you relax and choose to view images in your mind’s eye that will influence your emotions and energy.” (Thinking Body Dancing Mind, pg 16)What does this mean? It means, the more you visualize a positive, or negative outcome, of a practice session the more in that direction you will go. So if you visualize yourself being able to move the psiwheel in complete control and continue to visualize this outcome for some time, eventually you will be able to move the psiwheel the way you want to.

Visualization is not just important when practicing Psychokinesis, it is also important when practicing energy manipulation as well. Let’s say you want to make a psi-cube. Well what do you do? You sit down in a comfortable position, relax, and imagine the psi energy flowing to your hands and taking the shape of a cube. The more your practice this visualization the quicker and easier it will become to execute.

In order to be successful you need to keep the images positive. If suddenly you visualize yourself doing something that’s not positive and losing confidence in yourself, just gently remind yourself that others before you have done what you are trying to do and since you and that you have the same power to do what they can do.

Many famous athletes have used visualization to help them succeed; Jack Nicklaus, Mary Lou Retton, Elizabeth Manley, Sue Holloway. That doesn’t mean you can’t use the same method they do. Make the situation advantageous for yourself; visualize.

Here’s a quick run through of what a visualization session can be like.

In order to relax, we will be concentrating on deep abdominal breathing. It’s very simple. You breath through your and not through your mouth. Breath slowly and deeply and pay attention to your chest and abdomen and it moves with your breathing. Remember to not breathe forcefully because this may cause you to hyperventilate (not to mention you may relaxation).

Breathe deeply for five counts and feel yourself relax and focus. After you have breathed five times, begin visualizing what you want to accomplish. Spend as much time as you want for this part. You can spend five to 60 minutes if you want. It doesn’t matter.

Make sure that as soon as you are done visualizing, you do not want to abruptly snap out of this relaxing meditative state. Breathe deeply for five counts again and then slowly bring yourself back.

The key to visualization is being calm, passive and relaxed while visualizing. This will bring about the best most effective results because in a calm relaxed state you have more focus. You need to try and put fourth as much energy as you can to staying focused to your visualization. This technique will become easier for you when you practice, so make sure you try to practice visualizing as often as you have skill sessions.

Hope this helps. If you need help or just want to give me feedback, just leave a comment or email me.

I’ve started a ‘Noob to Psionics’ article

August 15, 2006

It seems to me that a lot of noobs don’t have much direction when it comes to psionics. They don’t know how to practice and what they want. I figured I would make a guide to help them organize their thoughts and help them become good psions.

I’ve written about a page or two already. I’ll post what I have so far. I haven’t revised what I have done yet, so don’t shoot me if I’ve missed something or made a mistake. If you do see something though, don’t be afraid to say so.

Here goes:

Psionics. Where to begin?

So you have decided you want to practice psi and don’t know where to begin. When for most noobs if they aren’t shown any kind of direction they can get flustered with what to do and how to do it. There are many different skills that you can learn and many different approaches to learning them. Most people are usually attracted to psionics because of psychokinesis, but I’m going to keep this guide a general one.

Before we even begin to learn psionics, you NEED to understand that if you want to progress and become a skilled psion you need to be determined. The only way to get better is to PRACTICE. There are no shortcuts, no special elixirs that will give you more power, etc. I cannot stress this enough.

Now that I’ve said this, you need to ask yourself this question ‘Why do I want to learn psionics?’ You have to be honest with yourself when you ask this question. I think the best reason to study psionics is because you want to learn more about yourself. With this kind of mindset I have noticed that your chances of succeeding are better because your intentions are pure.

Another important question you need to ask yourself another question, ‘What do you want out of psionics?’ ‘Do you want to become a master of your trade?’ ‘Do you just want to know enough so you can show off to your buddies?’ This shouldn’t be a difficult question to answer, but some really don’t know what they want. If you don’t know what you want, ask yourself if you are willing to put the time and the effort into what you are doing. If you find that you will not be dedicated enough to accomplish your wants then practicing psionics is NOT for you. I don’t mean any offense, but like I said in the end dabbling into psionics is serious and you can hurt yourself and/or others. You need to be willing to do the research, practice, and learn your limitations. Learning psionics isn’t a walk in the park. It’s tough and it will challenge you.

Now that we have that taken care of here is a list of different abilities you can learn:
Psi manipulation (psi balls, constructs, shields, etc.)
Remote Viewing
Telepathy/Empathy
Precognition
Out of Body Experiences
Psychokinesis

You don’t have to just choose one skill and only do that skill; you can do as many as you want. I think that it’s best to dabble with all the different skills because then you’ll understand the big picture better rather than just getting one perspective. Hopefully you know what I mean by that.

Before starting your training, there are a few prerequisites/skills that should be learned before practicing psi. Granted, once you begin practicing you will eventually learn these skills, but it’s best to learn them before because they help quicken your progress and you learn the skill(s) on a ‘deeper’ level (which in the end should be your goal.). You also lower the risk of injury while training because through these prerequisites you will learn your limitations and how to overcome them safely and intelligently. You have to learn what to do that is best for you or else you can seriously injure yourself.

It’s like going out for a sport. Let’s say you want to start playing tennis. Before you start playing you begin to train your body physically by doing light warm-ups and then gradually making the warm-ups harder. By not warming-up, you run the risk of injuring yourself very badly and serious injuries can cripple your chances of playing that sport for the rest of your life.

Here is a list of skills in order of which ones should be learnt first:

(Note #1: There are many different opinions on what should be learned first, but through research and experience this is what I strongly feel should be taught.
Note #2: When beginning to learn these skills one can usually learn others in the process. For example, let’s say you are learning to meditate, well in order to meditate you must also learn patience. All these skills coincide with each other, so if you are learning one skill, you may find you are also learning another at the same time.)

Disciplines
Skills
1. Determination/Persistence
1. Meditation
2. Discipline
2. Relaxation/Centering
3. Patience
3. Shutting Down
4. Concentration/Focus
4. Grounding
5. Positivism

6. Passivity/Flexibility

So why do I need to learn all of this before I start practicing? Well in order to answer this question you will answer questions to a survey that will tell you why you really want to learn psionics. Please take your time when answering these questions because it’s very important that you are honest with yourself in order to find out the real reason(s) as to why you would like to practice psionics and what are you willing to do in order to be the best psion you can be.

——-And that’s where the article ends. Suggestions? Criticisms?

Guide to Change

May 6, 2006

NOTE: The key is w/ this method is that it more effective, you stay truer to your goal, and it is quicker. Granted it may STILL take months to achieve, but it may take a few months less than the other method you were using.

So over the last few weeks I realized something that WILL helps a lot of people out. Most everyone is trying to change something about themselves, whether it be certain personality traits (patience, compassion), certain physical traits (weightloss/gain, athletic capabilities) or psionic skills (RV, PK, Empathy, etc). Everyone has found different levels of difficulty when trying to achieve certain goals they’ve placed on themselves and what a lot of people do is FORCE the change. Forcing change becomes an ineffective because it surpresses what you are trying to change and eventually it builds and boils over. (Force wastes a LOT of energy too.)
Let me use an example to illustrate my point. Let’s say you’re a psion, or tennis player, or basketball player (take your pick)  and you want to learn focus so you can see better results from your practices. By forcing yourself to focus, you don’t allow your subconscious to recognize and figure out why it needs to focus and most of the time (depending on who), you don’t even achieve the focus you want. Eventually you’ll get to the point where you can’t keep focus anymore and everything you’ve worked for goes down the drain and you go back to how you were. Instead of forcing yourself to focus, rationalize in your head why you need to stay focused. Usually your mind will doubt why you want to focus when you are trying to because it is trying to understand why. Give it a rational and logical reason why it should, instead of surpressing it.
It will take time depending on who and what you are trying to achieve, but when giving your mind consistant rational reason to do whatever it is you are trying, you will eventually reach your goal a lot quicker than just forcing yourself to achieve your goal. In all honesty, you’re using logic to trick your mind. What most people don’t realize is the mind is scared of new things, new skills, new ways of doing things. It’s scared of the unknown, of what might come out of trying new things. You have to slowly introduce it to new ideas and give it reasons as to why this is beneficial for you.
If you don’t do this, you’re mind will be conflicted and all of your thoughts become self-destructive becuase one side of you thinks this and the other thinks that. Just come up with clever and legitimate reasons and to why your logic is the best route and go where that teakes you. You won’t be conflicted and you won’t be undoing all the work you’ve been trying to do.
People say that you’re your greatest enemy, but I say you’re your only enemy. Conquer yourself and you’ve conquered the world.
